What I've been working on at Hewlett Packard

It's not much of a secret, but I've been working hard on a project called Scheduled Delivery. Now, there are some things that I can tell you and some that I cant. What I can share are a series of links for the publications that I have designed for Scheduled Delivery.

My contract will end in Jan. 2012 -- after a two-year stint as a contract employee. It's been a wild ride, a great experience and I look forward to what's ahead. Here's a sampling of what I've been up to for the last 18 months.


Kids Only
This pub was my first with Scheduled Delivery. From here, you can select a week's worth of kids' content to be delivered to your web-connected HP printer. Right now, certain models only.

NASCAR Insider
While I can't take credit for designing the publication, I can take credit for designing the visual assets that accompany the pub on HP's ePrintCenter.

Dear Abby
Again, the publication design credit belongs to someone else (in this case, the fabulous Cynthia Davis-Keith). But I was responsible for the visual assets on EPC. Abby's beautiful face, brought to you by me.

Astrology
This time, I owned the publication design as well as the visual assets on HP's ePrintCenter. Astrology was a fun one and one that I enjoyed proofing.

Word Puzzles
As I am a big fan of word puzzles, this was an easy one to develop. I am addicted to this publication as well as the Universal Crossword. It's a big win by Cynthia.

Golf Insider by T.J. Tomasi
I am one of the few golfers on our team, so I was given the honor of designing the first golf publication. This one was a breeze and a lot of fun to dream about the course while looking at gorgeous photos.

The Daily Read
This is one of my proudest achievements while working at HP. I was given the responsibility of designing a newspaper that would use content from The Associated Press. This newspaper has a very specific design based on how it is created. I am really proud of how it came together and how repeatable the process of putting it together has become. I was also responsible for creating the visual assets on HP's ePrintCenter.

Tell Me a Story Classic
Another kids publication, Tell Me a Story Classic publication and visual assets were designed by me. I love the look and feel of this publication. Turned out pretty well for bedtime stories!

You Can with Beakman and Jax
This was an easy pub to design, but the visual assets were trickier than one may think. Publication is a PDF drop. Assets had to be cut and pasted together.

Magic in a Minute
This was another kid-oriented pub that was easy to design (PDF drop), but the visual assets were tricky to cut out and paste together. That table is all my own work.

Ann Coulter
Everyone loves to hate Ann Coulter. The publication design is one of my favorites. Clean, sleek and poignant. I also designed the assets for this publication. It makes my blood boil to read the content, but art work was easy to create.
